Heating Mats for Pets

Don’t Forget Man’s Best Friend During the Cold Months

I live in a place where the snow still flies in April and May (sadly, even a possibility in June). I have a dog who suffers this wretched trick of nature each time we let him out to answer nature’s call. Heating for pets is still a worry for some of us, even in spring. Outdoor heating mats make a great pet heater and keep those little paws, hooves, and bellies toasty.Heating mat for pets

This week in the news I was reminded of winter’s cruelty and the continued need for a heating mat for my pets, when MSNBC reported the story of a man needing to get to a hospital for a life-saving transplant operation. There was a major snag as he and his wife made their way across the Wyoming roads towards the hospital in Denver, CO. A white out blizzard and closed roads were blocking their route. A quick call to 911 and a few more valiant efforts by the Wyoming Department of Transportation elicited a convoy of eight snow plows that showed up to escort them safely to the state border.

This story made me smile to think that there are still nice things being done for people in this world. It was also a reminder that during the first week of April there are still places in this country that are seeing blizzards. Winter is not over yet and our pets still need protection from the cold temperatures. Weatherproof heated mats are easy to use, safe for pets and animals of any size and offer protection for household pets or farm animals that dwell in the great outdoors. Just remember, these mats get very warm, so it's best to place them under existing bedding or mats.

Keep your pets in mind during the cold months and chilled nights of spring and fall by providing outdoor heating mats for them. That way, even a blizzard in April won’t have them calling 911.
